2008 sees the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce celebrating 150 years.
Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce held its inaugural meeting on 18 February 1858 therefore we are looking forward in 2008 to celebrate 150 years. We are planning a number of events that recognise the vision our forefathers had and the milestones achieved by the chamber and its members.
We are grateful to the Neale family for making available the book Meeting the Challenge produced in 1991 by Colin Neale which gave not only the history of Nelson from 1858 but that of the chamber. This book will be refreshed and updated from 1991 to the present day and launched at the AGM on 4th April.
The AGM will be at the Museum as we will be holding an exhibition there from 14 March to 11th April entitled "A Celebration of Business Vitality - 150 years and beyond Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce".
We sincerely thank the NZ Community Trust, Bank of New Zealand, Marsden House, Nelson Pine and Network Tasman for their sponsorship enabling this book to be produced.
Upon the museum exhibition finishing we move to The Suter where a number of our Past Presidents will have selected art pieces that reflect business over the years for an exhibition entitled "The Vital Art of Business: 150 years of the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce. This will run from 12 April - 25th May 2008.

AGM and Book Launch
Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce (NTCC) invites you to join us at our Annual General Meeting for our 150 years celebration. This event will be held in the upstairs gallery of the Nelson Provincial Museum where the photographic exhibition of the changing face of business in Nelson " A Celebration of Business Vitality" is being held.
After the formalities of the AGM there will be the launch of the book "Business Vitality - Celebrating 150 years of the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce". NTCC would like to thank NZ Community Trust, Bank of New Zealand, Marsden House, Nelson Pine Industries and Network Tasman for their sponsorship of the book.
