Richard Brown is an experienced business leader, facilitator, coach, and licensed Insights Discovery® practitioner, as well as a loving husband and father.

Having worked in senior leadership positions at reputable companies for the past 30 years, including roles as a facilitator, Richard has developed a deep understanding of what drives people - and organisations - to succeed.

Richard has 28 years’ experience in the horticulture industry, based in Motueka, 18 of those years, as operations manager for Wakatu Incorporation and Ngati Rarua Atiawa Iwi Trust. For the following 13 years’ Richard was instrumental in the growth of Redwood Cellars, the last 10 years as cidery manager for DB Heineken.

He spent 10 years as a faculty member of the Canterbury Institute of Management Executive Staff Course and more recently as an NZ Beef & Lamb Action Group Facilitator working with farmers and rural professionals.

Richard is focused on applying his expertise to coaching business key staff, managers and executives in authentic leadership, growth mindset, change management, also introducing the Insights Discovery® Experience to help companies create healthy, collaborative cultures in which staff feel empowered and fulfilled.

Using his unique Braided River Facilitating framework Richard creates a safe workshop environment enabling participants to contribute openly leading to great team energy and outstanding results.

Richard takes a courageous and wholehearted approach, weaving his personal struggles and stories into his work. His own authenticity and vulnerability succeeds in bringing these qualities out in others, creating space for personal breakthroughs and meaningful change.
