Growing Supervisor skills to empower staff performance.

In this short, concise, condensed programme, Supervisors can expect to polish their skills and grow confidence in these four broad areas:

  • Creating a positive workplace environment that encourages people to be the very best they can be.
  • Setting crystal clear expectations of performance and behaviour. Giving instructions in a clear, concise, manner that staff understand, are motivated by and can act on.
  • Providing feedback that connects directly with the expectations and is specifically designed to grow performance and ensure staff know how to improve.
  • Understanding managing people from other cultures “Things have unique meanings depending on where you come from”.

The workshop is presented by Forte Management’s Helen and Tony Smale. They bring decades of experience as training presenters, coaches and consultants. Their programs are lively, engaging and customised for each audience. They use engaging and relevant real-world examples – often drawn “on-the-fly” from the audience. Tony grew up in the horticulture industry and both have worked extensively with horticulture clients. Helen brings special expertise in positive psychology – the performance benefits of positive mindsets, language and behaviour. Tony is a recognised leader in the field of national culture – addressing the special challenges of leading people from different cultures. Both Tony and Helen have spoken at numerous national and international events.

"Over a number of years we have partnered with Forté Management to provide superior people management skills training for our Supervisors. Forté’s unique expertise in working with people from different cultures is immensely useful. Their workshops provide great insights, tips and advice that help our Supervisors tackle their everyday challenges and achieve the very best from our staff. Their experience was engaging, and the real-life examples made it even more compelling. When areas are identified with individuals, Forté tailor additional coaching to build confidence and skills. We will be enrolling staff in this program".
