Join us for an evening of connection and inspiration at the Intepeople Business Women’s Network (BWN), with guest speaker Tasman District Commander, Superintendent Tracey Thompson.
Superintendent Tracey Thompson is a senior leader with the New Zealand Police, bringing extensive experience in frontline policing, leadership, and community engagement. Throughout her career she has built a reputation for resilience, integrity, and strong leadership.
Tracey’s 30‑year policing career spans frontline, detective, and senior leadership roles across Rotorua, Tasman, and Wellington. After three deployments to Kiribati, she became Wellington’s Māori Responsiveness Manager—the first woman appointed substantively to the role. She led Kāpiti Mana as Area Commander from 2017 to 2022 before returning to Tasman as the District Commander. In 2025, she received ACWAP’s Supreme Award and the inaugural First Nations and Indigenous Excellence in Policing Award.
Tracey will share insights from her journey, the lessons she has learned along the way, and her perspective on leadership, courage, and creating opportunities for the next generation of women.
