Planning for Success 
People Management Series


This group workshop series focuses on helping you develop your people management skills to deal with human aspect of business success. Consisting of 6 x 2 hour sessions, plus a final session to reflect, adopt and plan. This is an immersive process, with post-session action planning, and progress-checkpoint calls, participants can put theory into practice by utilising the new knowledge acquired through this process. Expert facilitators will guide your discussions, identify common pain points and provide insights that you can take away and use with your team to overcome the day-to-day performance challenges you face.

Topic: Help team members identify and set objectives that benefit themselves and the business.

Session Two
Thursday 22 August, 9am-11am
Presenter: Marie Tovio, Tovio Consulting
Topic: Develop your ability to communicate baseline expectations with new and existing team members.

Session Three
Thursday 29 August, 9am-11am
Presenter: Marty Logan, Pitt & Moore
Topic: Understand your obligations as an employer, and how to navigate potential employment law pitfalls.

Session Four
Thursday 5 September, 9am-11am
Presenter: Denise Hartley-Wilkins, Shine People
Topic: Nailing the basics of building your employer brand

Thursday 12 September 9am-11am
Presenter: Marie Tovio, Tovio Consulting
Topic: Strategies and tools for dealing with poor performance and recognise your high achievers.

Session Six
Thursday 19 September, 9am-11am
Presenter: Denise Hartley-Wilkins, Shinepeople
Topic: Conversations that Matter: Getting the most from your 1-2-1 meetings

Session Seven
Thursday 26 September, 9am-11am
Presenter: Jon Lasenby, Maranga
Topic: Reflections, plans for adoption of learnings and next steps for participants.

Standard cancellation policy applies to paid events/workshops/courses (unless otherwise stated on event listing). Cancellations must be received 7 working days prior to the event. Cancellations after this time and ‘no shows’ on the day will be charged the full invoice amount. Substitutions are permitted if you can no longer attend.
