Go Accounting BA5: Hosted by NBS

October's Go Accounting BA5 is hosted by NBS - an organisation with deep roots in our region and a long history of backing local people, businesses and communities.

NBS began right here in Whakatū Nelson in 1862, when a group of forward-thinking locals came together to form the Permanent Building Society of Nelson. More than 160 years later, NBS remains proudly connected to the communities it serves, providing personal, business and community banking across the South Island.

What makes NBS particularly special is its strong community focus. Rather than operating like a traditional bank, NBS invests its profits back into the business and into the communities it serves. Over the past decade, more than $8 million has been invested into local communities, and today NBS supports more than 300 community groups and organisations each year.

This event is a great opportunity to hear a little more about the NBS story, meet some of the team, and connect with fellow Chamber members and local businesspeople in a relaxed setting.
