Governance is the structure, systems and processes that ensure a business’ overall direction, effectiveness, supervision and accountability. Having formal governance structures assists open communication, reduces internal conflicts, nurtures the next generation, and develops a shared family vision. This workshop will help you understand key elements of governance, identify your gaps and plan next steps towards sound governance in your family business.

Sandy's Bio
Sandy Kimpton is highly experienced in family business governance, bringing a practical, holistic, and values-based approach to helping families and enterprises succeed over the long term. She has worked extensively with multi-generational family businesses and high-net-worth families, supporting them to strengthen governance frameworks, align family and business objectives, and create clarity across generations. A qualified accountant and Chartered Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, Sandy has held executive roles including Director and CFO across larger family groupings. Eligibility criteria:

To attend/be eligible for co-funding the customer must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Has less than 50 full time employees
  • Have an NZBN
  • Must be the business owner or person in a key management role, i.e senior managers, in the business.
  • Must register on the RBP Platform and have a discovery meeting with the region’s Growth Advisor

 

Standard cancellation policy applies to paid events/workshops/courses (unless otherwise stated on event listing). Cancellations must be received 7 working days prior to the event. Cancellations after this time and ‘no shows’ on the day will be charged the full invoice amount. Substitutions are permitted if you can no longer attend.
