Mahitahi Colab Tasman has partnered with Whenua Iti Outdoors for an inspiring evening with a special screening of winning short films from this year’s Youth Outdoor Film Competition.

About the film competition
The Youth Outdoor Short Film Competition is designed to encourage youth to get outdoors, have fun and film their trip over the summer holiday period. Whether they are hiking, biking, kayaking, or just exploring a favourite local spot, we want to see it through their eyes. The competition is open to youth - defined as 12-24 years old.

Whenua Iti Outdoors has been providing transformative experiential learning programmes in our community for 40 years. Established in 1986, Whenua Iti programmes weave together cultural, adventurous and environmental learning to support the holistic development and growth of participants by learning together in the outdoors. Working with close to 5,000 participants every year from across Te Tauihu, Aotearoa and beyond, their focus remains on providing opportunities for long term positive change that enhances personal, whānau and community wellbeing.
